Battery Series Summary
The MAGNA MG Series DC System has been built to provide high quality with reliability power supply and battery charging capability. The MAGNA MG Series DC System is a thyristor-contrlled rectifier, suitable for charging nickel-cadmium or lead-acid batteries while supplying DC loads it can also be used without batteries as a direct power supply and backup power unit or auxiliary supply applications. The rectifier is built from independent building blocks and can be equipped with optional items such as distribution boards, diode droppers etc. built inside or in a separate cabinet. The cabinets are floor mounted and can be designed to meet specific environmental requirements. The batteries are mounted in free-standing racks or in cabinets together with or separated from the rectifier
DC Systems Technical
Boost and Float Charge Voltages are adjustable on the control panel. Charger output gives boost charging voltage by setting the timer to any value larger than zero. The Charger returns to floating voltage level when the timer value reaches zero. No settings are required if mains fails as these are saved to EEPROM. The input and output of the charger are protected against misuse and line disturbances electronically. Input and output can be switched by circuit breakers individually. It has self protection against over temperature. Alarm contact can be used for external system in the case of any abnormality. The output is fully isolated from the AC line input. The Charger has a modular design to provide service and maintenance Batbry simplicity. Outputs of the Battery Chargers can be connected in parallel or series in as per need.
